Hello Varg2000, I just had a quick look at Wikipedia's synopsis of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), I can see why you would be so proactive with the development of this wiki, the new movie looks like absolute nonsense despite the 2014 movie seeming passably conservative with regard to realism in this genre, though I think that Legendary's MonsterVerse might be degenerating with each movie (however I haven't seen Kong: Skull Island (2017) or read its synopsis either).
What was your opinion of Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island (2017) if you've seen it?
Actually, I very much loved Godzilla: King of the Monsters, it was an amazing experience and a great lead-up to Godzilla vs. Kong! I also very much loved Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island. I mean I prefer Godzilla (1998) but these were still great films in my opinion. Although I really wish we had a growing TriStarVerse akin to the MonsterVerse as well.
Hello again, I thought you might have resigned from wiki editing but it's good to see that you still hop on, anyway yes I recall seeing the 1998 Godzilla movie as a child and it was my favourite movie until I saw Aliens in 2002, then after I got the Alien Quadrilogy DVD set I watched that movie a total of fourteen times over the space of a year when I was about thirteen years old I think and it's still my favourite movie.
Though for the American Godzilla franchise I think that the fantastic animated series fleshed it out about as much as could have been done though I would certainly like to have seen more episodes created, Adelaide Productions also made the Extreme Ghostbusters and Men in Black animated series which were just as good.
I've also updated my Xenomorph classification system in case you hadn't already seen it, it's much neater and more informative now though I am still in the process of converting the bulk of it to the new table format, have a look at it and let me know what you think.
I don't know how many years it's ago that we last talked to each other (yes, we did already), but well, here I am again.
Dunno whether you're still active at all, I just wanted to tell you there's some vandalism going around here. I just removed some idiotic spam from the Godzilla 2 article, but I'm afraid more is about to follow.
Yes, I've blocked several spam accounts and deleted some articles with spam content for now. We could need some assistance by other admins around here but we need to know a person can be trusted with that responsibility first.
1. I am a kind of active person, I receive Gmail notifications about some articles here and thus notice whenever they get edited (by that way I noticed the vandalism on Godzilla 2).
2. I have experience as an admin (German Godzilla wiki), thus I'm not a rookie.
3. I believe my English is good enough to be an admin.
I mean, I do not insist on getting the admin role. It was just a proposal to prevent that spam-bullshit and vandalism gets out of hand here. I see my tasks mostly in 1. preventing/eliminating vandalism and/or spam and 2. edit some articles if I find grammatical, spelling errors or mistakes in sentence structure. Just a person that keeps an eye on this wiki.
I've recently read your message wall a bit, and you're a lot politer, more respectable, and welcoming than I've been told. Anywho, the point, I'm a little bored these days, and I read that you're trying to make this wiki a little more about Godzilla in general than just the 1998 film. We may have a few different views on copyright and others like that, but I would be happy to help out.
No worries, I've been a little inactive for a while aswell (lot of stuff going on). However, I think this wiki needs a whole lot of work on refining its articles, adding more pictures and videos, and of course it needs advertising so that more people will join in and help this site grow into a great wiki-community. I'm gonna have to take a stroll around here aswell and evaluate the wiki's contents.
For one I always found the war of Titano and you to be ridiculous. His battle tried to get very personal and offensive while I cringed at the things he said. Also banning users because he thinks you made lots of duplicated accounts.
If you ask me, there never was any "war", but it seemed to me that Titanollante overreacted at my views and my actions, and I'd say he had a lot of hate inside him which he had to get out on somebody, and who'd be better than me, right? He has indeed displayed a very bad behaviour for a human being (granted, we've all been there at least once, but you grow up you know), but I don't want to speak ill of him behind his back. I can remember another user from Wikizilla also came here telling me he was blocking many users without any proper reason, but that he thought these users were me? Again, not to speak ill of him, but that seriously sounds a bit like paranoia.
Regarding that post by Titanollante, to be honest, that's a real surprise to hear that recognition (of "Zilla being Godzilla") coming from him. And don't bother, I do not wish to be part of what's going on over at Wikizilla for the moment, and judging from what users have said about Titano and the actions (like said "abuse of power") he has displayed, I also have doubts on him as an admin. He does a great job at designing the site (apart from the horribly structured articles) and providing pictures to articles, and he shows a great knowledge when it comes to computers, but I may not approve of his downsides, and those qualities should be considered if he were to step down from being an admin. I'm also no fan of the idea that Wikizilla includes articles about things that are really unecessary and not of any actual relevance to Godzilla. I also believe that, for as long as Wikizilla will be run by Titano and not really be that fitting for those who adore Godzilla '98 (specifically as being named "Godzilla"), this wiki will be necessary for those who seek something different and less aggressive. This wiki could also be seen as a little bit of a personal hobby on my part, at least from time to time. I am also planning on making it more about Godzilla in general and not merely anything that relates to G98.
By the way, you are welcome to use any contents on this wiki on Wikizilla, just as long as the contents are allowed on Wikizilla and that contents that are original to this wiki will be referenced as having originated on this site. Those are the terms, I hope you can respect them.
You know the User you were at war with, Titanollante. Well, he's went off the deep-end and has started to ban his own wiki's users because they disagree with him. You at leats give a reason to ban users. I was just wanting to tell you that soon enough, he won't be a worry for you Wikia wise.
I must point out that I was never at "war" with this person, "Titanollante" created this "war" himself and it's completely his own battle and problem (which I can only blame on immature or sociopathic behaviour), he says I'm one of his "enemies" (an overreaction), but he's not an enemy of mine. If it is true that he is banning users on Wikizilla for no legitimate reason other than them disagreeing with him, then that's really sad and I'm disappointed of him. Hopefully, though, he might change for the better some years into the future. But of course, if or until then, you are all welcome on this site (as long as everyone show each other respect and understanding)! Please, if you are in need of a place to gather and discuss, you are more than welcome to use this wiki's chat.
Not anymore, when I decluttered, I tossed all but the best pages, the Monstar Wars came before the showing of those episodes aired. Ice Cold Winter, no idea, same for the game. But now you know they had a legitimate source and the whole comic instead of chunks. Have more toys/ figurines to add soon. :)
Were started with copied material from http://godzilla.wikia.com/wiki/Unused_Monsters. Although it looks like you have done a fine job refining, adding to, and tweaking them the edit history shows that the stubs started as direct lifts. That makes every page a derivative of the copied page. This is permitted, but you need to attribute the source. That means those pages need to include a link to the source or need to be removed and replaced with wholly original entries not copied from anywhere. Thanks,
I think these topics are better left alone, it's just a little angry-fan-war going on between these kids, and I'm not gonna be arrogant like them and say that I know the truth. I'll accept that they have a different belief and I'll stick to my current belief, I'm just trying to bring out the facts as best as I can and be as unbiased as possible. I understand these people call Godzilla '98 for Zilla because they cannot enjoy it as Godzilla, and I won't bother trying to change their minds if what I do hurts their feelings over fictional characters. Just ignore it.
